Message from our Executive Director
We started this business in 2009 with the desire to provide Japanese treatment services to Japanese people living in Bangkok, as well as to bring our treatments to Thai people and visitors from other countries.
Our vision is to become the most trusted clinic in Thailand. It may sound ambitious, but we aim to become the first clinic that people think of when they are in pain, where they know: “I will get well if I go to J-CLINIC.”
And to achieve this vision, our mission is to provide to our patients treatment that gets results, trustworthy communication, and moving hospitality.
We are also motivated to make a positive impact on society. J-CLINIC visits staff members’ hometowns to provide free treatment to people in the community who are unable to receive adequate treatment. We want to use our expertise to bring smiles to our valued staff’s loved ones.
In 2023, we set our Big Hairy Audacious Goal: to visit all of Thailand’s 76 provinces and 1 capital city within 100 years. A Big Hairy Audacious Goal—a concept developed by business management expert and author Jim Collins—is a bold, long-term goal that inspires management and staff to take the company to the next level. So far, we have reached the capital city and two prefectures, leaving us 74 prefectures to go (as of July 2024).
Each time we volunteer in a province, we add a pin to this big (160 cm tall!) BHAG map at our Phrom Phong branch.
To achieve this Big Hairy Audacious Goal, we need to ensure that all staff hold the same core values. As managing director, I try to clearly communicate the values that are important to me both personally and for the company. And I’ve found that this encourages more colleagues to embrace those values. There may be hurdles to overcome, but when staff with shared values come together, difficulties become opportunities for growth. As the company grows, the difficulty of effectively communicating the company culture and vision to all staff also increases. My dream for J-CLINIC is to move away from a single manager imparting the company’s core values to employees, to where each staff member embodies and passes on those values to their peers and juniors. In this way, I believe our staff and company will become stronger, creating a stable organization that will last through the ages.
Every day, the J-CLINIC staff are working together to realize the company’s vision, mission, and Big Hairy Audacious Goal. I believe that my role is to provide a place where our staff can continue to grow and are happy to work – all so that you, our customers, can experience the best possible treatments at our clinic.
